Privacy notice

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This notice explains what personal data ModelMakr collects through this website, why, and the rights you have over it. It is written to meet the requirements of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Jean-Philippe Maltais, trading as ModelMakr. For any question or request about your data, email info@modelmakr.com.

What we collect

If you sign up for updates, we collect:

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

This site does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served from our own site, not from a third party. Our hosting provider processes basic technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

We do not sell your data, share it for others' marketing, or use it for automated decisions that affect you.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, each acting only on our instructions:

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States or other countries outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your sign-up details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If we have not sent you any update for 24 months, we delete your details. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights

You can at any time:

Email info@modelmakr.com and we will respond within one month. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the one in the country where you live or work. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell people on the update list before it takes effect.
